Sports Programs

Philosophy – Individually designed and sport specific.  To be successful any training program has to be relevant to the person and the sport. Generic or ‘No Frills’ programming is ineffective in meeting the needs of the client

Goal Specific – Programs must be goal specific to be effective. They identify the concentration area for a particular time or component of one’s training.

Measurable – Testing provides a statement of one’s fitness level. In isolation testing is irrelevant. Repeat testing indicates level of improvement and provides a basis or direction for further training. It also provides a basis for Return to Play Criteria for injured athletes. How would one know it they are ready to return to sports if we have no health data to compare against?

Periodization – Training is specific to the time or period of athlete’ season. At different periods in the athletic year the goals of training will be different. A successful athletic outcome requires often three or four specific programs in order to maximize athletic development and performance.
